Roles & Responsibilities:

OPENEDGES is building a team in the US to develop a configurable cache-coherent NOC to add to its portfolio enabling AI SOCs. It is a significant opportunity to work on a design from scratch that will enable high performance, highly efficient AI designs requiring cache coherency. This role can be in San Jose, CA or Austin, TX with Hybrid/Remote work a possibility.

As Performance Group Lead, you will lead a team to develop the performance model for cache coherent interconnect NOC. You will be responsible for architectural exploration, evaluation of design alternatives, performance projections and power vs. performance trade offs. You will help build the team, develop the model infrastructure, drive execution of model delivery, and support customers using the model.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop performance models that drive new feature development and evolve into well correlated models with our IP RTL designs

• Model complex configurable designs and conduct performance analysis to drive architectural decisions

• Create quantitative performance evaluation strategy

• Perform performance simulations and measure for alternative designs

• Analyze workloads to identify performance bottlenecks and opportunities

Job Requirements:

• MS or PhD in computer architecture

• Strong computer architecture, microarchitecture, performance experience

• Consistent track record of success in the modeling, analysis, and debug for sophisticated IP designs

• 12+ years of experience in performance modeling, analysis, and RTL correlation of SoC system performance and providing effective solutions

Preference:

• The ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment that fosters a collaborative/team atmosphere

• Experience with startup environments or venture backed firms

• A self-starting orientation with the intense desire/drive to “make things happen.”
