📍 Position: Principal Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:
OPENEDGES is building a team in the US to develop a configurable cache-coherent NoC to add to its portfolio enabling AI SoCs. It is a significant opportunity to work on a design from scratch that will enable high performance, highly efficient AI designs requiring cache coherency. This role can be in San Jose, CA or Austin, TX with Hybrid/Remote work a possibility.
Design and implement a cache-coherent NoC
Actively participate in the hardware architecture pathfinding and development by collaborating across domains in system designs
Write microarchitecture specification for highly configurable IPs
RTL design of performance/functionality-critical core components of cache-coherent NoC
Work closely with software, performance and verification group
12+ years of RTL design and development experience
Experience in defining micro-architecture from a given cache coherency protocol specification on a CPU memory unit and on a system interconnect.
Experience in cache-coherence hardware design to silicon proven production
Experience/familiarity with the memory and compute challenges of neural network workloads.
The ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment that fosters a collaborative/team atmosphere.
Experience with startup environments or venture backed firms.
A self-starting orientation with the intense desire/drive to “make things happen.”
