[Job Summary]
OPENEDGES Square Corporation is seeking a Regional Sales Director for North America to lead business development and sales activities in the U.S. and Canada. This role requires strong industry knowledge, established customer networks, and the ability to manage IP licensing cycles - from early engagement and specification alignment to contract execution and post-sales support coordination.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary commercial interface between OPENEDGES and North American customers, responsible for both revenue generation and strategic market expansion.
[Roles & Responsibilities]
Business Development & Sales Execution
Identify, qualify, and close IP licensing opportunities with fabless semiconductor companies, design services, and system OEMs in North America.
Build and execute regional sales strategies to drive revenue growth across OPENEDGES' IP portfolio (NoC, DDR PHY, DDR Controller, NPU, UCIe).
Expand market presence by developing new accounts while nurturing existing customer relationships.
Customer Engagement & Account Management
Serve as the lead commercial contact for assigned accounts, engaging with executives, procurement, and R&D teams.
Coordinate and execute technical evaluations, proposals, and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and HQ (Sales & Marketing, R&D, Program Manager).
Represent OPENEDGES at industry events, technical conferences, and trade shows in the region.
Internal Collaboration & Market Intelligence
Gather customer requirements, industry trends, and competitor intelligence; provide structured feedback to HQ to guide roadmap and strategy.
Track and manage pipeline activities, forecasts, and reporting.
[Required Qualifications]
10+ years of experience in semiconductor IP or EDA, or SoC/ASIC solution sales.
Proven track record of closing IP licensing or technology agreements with North American semiconductor/fabless companies.
Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows, SoC architecture, and integration challenges.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; ability to interact with both C-level executives and engineering stakeholders.
Highly self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating with global teams.
Willingness to travel frequently within North America and occasionally to Korea HQ.
[Preferred Qualifications]
Existing relationships with top North American semiconductor companies (e.g., GPU/CPU vendors, AI accelerator companies, networking/automotive SoC players).
Familiarity with DDR standards (DDLPDDR5X/6), UCIe ecosystem, and AI/ML workloads relevant to NPU IP sales.
Experience with contract negotiation for IP licensing (license, partnership, and/or support/maintenance agreements).
MBA or equivalent business education background.
